We have completed running plate on the plPlugMapT files from chunk 26 and 27. A set of special plates and chunk 28 will be ready soon. Chunk 27 is on Stripe 35 and it is from runs: 35 N: 2298/0, 2299/0, 2304/0, 2305/0 35 S: 1896/0, 2326/0, 2328/0 Chunk 27 has 23 plates, numbers 774-796. Briefly these plates have been designed and the plFanuc files are ready for the UofW shop. The plates have been added to the standard web page for this month's drilling run: Chunks 26 and 27: http://sdss.fnal.gov:8000/~sdssdp/target/dr2001.11.2.html Additionally, the files can be obtained from anonymous ftp at Chunks 26: ftp://sdssdp4.fnal.gov/plates/dr2001.11.2/ Chunk 27: ftp://sdssdp4.fnal.gov/plates/dr2001.11.3/ In these directories you will find directories for each of the file types: DrillPos, Fanuc, Meas, Overlay, and plPlugMapP. UofW shop: The web page above has links to the ftp site where the files can be downloaded. There are a total of 4 + 23 = 27 plates in these chunks. The following web page will lead you to all files pertinent to this and previous drilling runs: http://sdss.fnal.gov:8000/~sdssdp/target/target.html We will send out a second notice later this week with instructions for obtaining plate files for two other chunks. There will be about 9 "special" plates, and 13 from chunk 28. If there are any questions concerning the creation of these plate drilling files or accessing the files, please let me know.
